HPI was established in 1996 after the withdrawal of a famous company in Ballistics. A legal buy-out took place by three ex-employees. This initial main crew, which is now the HPI Board of Directors has a long term experience in Ballistics and together with ambitious engineers form todays staff ensuring continuity.

In a first step the new team started with the development of basic equipment consisting of Light Screen, Target and Data Acquisition System.
