The Proputer for analyzing the propellant combustion in closed vessels has become a vital tool for each propellant laboratory. It is applied in quality control as well as in R&D. The computerized data acquisition system allows comparative evaluation of thermodynamic characteristics according to US-MIL-Standard 286 B Method 801.1.2 and German TL-1376.

Together with the B173 Proputer the B180 Closed Vessels are used for determining the combustion behavior of propellants. The closed vessel are equiped with a cooling jacket and with a self sealing locking piece which has two electrodes for electrical ignition. An adapter accommodating piezoelectric high pressure transducer is located opposite the locking piece. Adapters for the B180 series are designed with a special sealing construction for longer life of the closed vessels.
