B290 Ammunition Test Gun

For measurement of gas pressure curves, interior ballistic times, projectile velocities and for ammunition precision tests

The 292UR EPVAT Receiver (Electronic Pressure Velocity Action Time) fulfils the NATO specifications AC/225 (Panel III-SP1) D/200.

In addition to the NATO calibers 5,56 x 45mm, 9 x 19mm, 7,62 x 51mm and .50" also test barrels of other rifle-, pistol- and revolver ammunition according to C.I.P. or SAAMI specifications with cal. up to .600 can be tested with the 292UR EPVAT Receiver.

The electromagnetic firing device is an essential requirement for a safety operation of the 292UR EPVAT Receiver. It permits remote controlled firing and can be integrated in a safety system. The 2906P Power supply integrates up to four 2906R Remote controls and 2906E Trigger magnets.

The start signal (trigger) of the measurement occurs exactly when the firing pin touches the primer. Only with this technique a reliable and accurate measurement of the "Action Time" or t4 is possible. By means of an adjusting ring located in the receiver and using head space gauges an exact set up of the head space is possible. The firing pin protrusion can be adjusted quick and easily to the requested measure.
